How WINK Works: A Seamless Extension of Vetspire
Using WINK starts with scheduling an appointment in Vetspire itself. Your practice’s Vetspire Implementation Team will configure ophthalmology-specific templates. When scheduling, select an appointment type that includes (Ophtho) in the title. Once the appointment is booked in Vetspire, you can open it in WINK.
Step-by-Step: Getting Started with WINK
- Download WINK from the Apple App Store on your iPad.
- Sign in using your Vetspire credentials.
- Enter your clinic’s Vetspire URL prefix (e.g., clinic.vetspire.com) into the Wink Commercial field.
- Select an appointment from the Home screen and tap Start Exam.
Conducting an Exam in WINK
WINK provides a user-friendly interface organized into five essential tabs:
- Exam Form – Log ocular diagnostics (baseline and ancillary), mark each eye as enucleated, not applicable, or not examined.
- Neuro Form – Capture detailed results from neuro-ophthalmic procedures.
- Eye Drawing – Annotate detailed diagrams with Apple’s Smart Annotation tool.
- Sections – Record prognosis, assessments, client instructions, and comments for referring vets.
- Whiteboard (optional) – A client-friendly visual tool to explain diagnoses using freehand drawings.
Each tab’s status (green = complete, yellow = in progress, white = not started) appears on the WINK home screen, helping you track your progress throughout the day.
